Job Role Overview: Associate I – Safety Informatics
As an Associate I in Safety Informatics, you will be responsible for evaluating post-market surveillance (PMS) data, identifying emerging safety signals, and ensuring compliance with international regulations such as the FDA, EU MDR, and ISO 14971. Alcon Hiring for Safety Data Analyst
Key Responsibilities
- Post-Market Data Analysis:
Analyze adverse event trends from multiple safety data sources such as MAUDE (FDA), FAERS (Adverse Event Reporting System), EUDAMED (EU Medical Device Database), and Alcon’s internal complaint systems. - Data Management & Structuring:
Organize, clean, and manage large and complex datasets for analysis using advanced data platforms and tools. - Reporting & Dashboards:
Generate visual safety insights through dashboards, summary reports, and data visualizations for cross-functional teams and regulatory stakeholders. - Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to global standards and regulations including FDA requirements, ISO 14971 risk management, and European MDR guidelines. - Collaborative Research:
Partner with safety physicians, data scientists, quality teams, and regulatory affairs professionals to evaluate product safety and performance. - Process Enhancement:
Contribute to the development and refinement of safety signal detection methodologies and automate surveillance workflows. - Data Ethics & Privacy:

Required Educational Qualifications
